"Along the way" is an evening performance-tanks by bus on Šiauliai streets. Travel guide will become a well -known character, Rapolas from the performance "Bagadelnia", a well -known character for the audience of the State Drama Theater of Šiauliai. He will travel with the audience as a time machine, revealing various events of his life. Each bus stop is a different story of Rapolo's life that viewers will experience while observing the actor's scenes in different urban spaces. With the efforts of the talented light artist Vilius Vilutis, the usual place of the city will shine in new colors. Character costumes, musical design and city architecture play an equally important role in the performance. Thus, this fun and interactive journey through Šiauliai will allow viewers not only to get to know the life of one character's family, but also to reveal the changing culture, socio-economic life in Lithuania in 1965-2020.
What does the most important moments of life look like in the memories, when you look at them from the perspective of the path you have traveled? How do our worldview be influenced by the people who meet, the changing political system and the technology, how do they change the relationship with themselves and the world? The director and playwright Alexander Špilevoj, the creator of this performance, offers viewers an impressive theatrical experience and a sensitive look at what happens along the way on the way.
