Have you ever wondered what the childhood of a recognized artist and genius was like? An artist who is often surrounded by an aura of eminence or even "mysticism", which prevents him from seeing and feeling a living person close to him. The creative team, based on the memoirs of M. K. Čiurlionis' sister Jadvyga, set out on a journey to find an answer - how was a great artist formed in childhood? Jadvyga's stories reveal a warm family atmosphere where parents encouraged children's creativity, allowed them to dream and find their own way. The creators of the show sincerely believe that every child is born with a spark of creativity, and the nurturing environment and family support can help this spark ignite. "M. K. Čiurlionis is one of the most prominent, often very spiritual, and for this reason sometimes it seems that he is a distant personality from us and our everyday life. We wanted to look at him as Kastukas - that's what Konstantin was called by his family - a friendly and extremely "warm" child, sometimes a little advanced, but because of that only closer to today's child. We want to spread that "mystical" veil of genius and show M. K. Čiurlionis alive and breathing, so that all viewers and especially children identify with him - after all, he was the same child as the one sitting restlessly in the hall. We believe that this will help every viewer to discover their personal, living connection with the work of this artist," say the creators of the production. The performance is full of heartwarming moments, light, laughter and the beauty of M. K. Čiurlionis's work, as well as unexpected (sometimes even magical!) characters. The production uses the bunraku puppet control technique, which appeared more than 300 years ago in Japan. This technique is distinguished by its complexity - the puppet is controlled by 3 actors at the same time, which requires concentration and extremely strong teamwork, the result of which is astounding - puppets and animals come to life on stage, which can appear more real than the live actors! The performance invites you not only to get to know M. K. Čiurlionis, but also to discover your creativity, making sure that every child can reveal himself if his talent is given space to grow.
