The actors' performance, direction, scenography conveys the momentary celebration and the constant longing for it, which persists long after the performance ends. The atmosphere of the performance can be described in the following words of the director: "Imagine that you are in St. Petersburg, when it is cold outside, the ice is cleared in some places, and very slippery in some places. And the stars are reflected in that ice. You play in such a scene, in Petersburg of that time, you are among the people of that city." Romantic 19th century. melodrama turned into an eccentric and melancholic tragicomedy in the hands of a talented director. In this performance of mesmerizing beauty, we hear the sounds of the heady and longing waltz of Khachaturian and the snow falling in the empty black space of the stage, nostalgically reflects the cultural experience of the last century, which makes us remember the theater of Brecht and Strehler, Broadway frenzies and Fellini films.
