The exhibition of the Theater Museum is comfortably housed in several small rooms next to the Small Hall. Many puppets, masks and scenography elements from performances that are no longer shown are neatly arranged here. All these props are made in the workshop located in the same building. The exposition is constantly updated, which is why the museum is called "living".
What are the types of theater puppets? How did the name "marionette" come about? Which famous directors and artists created performances in Vilnius theater "Lėlė"? How to make a puppet theater at home? How long does an actor have to train his fingers to be able to control a marionette? What makes puppet theater special, different from other arts? During the excursion to the Living Puppet Museum, these and many other questions will be answered by Rimas Driežis, an expert in the history of the puppet theater, director and artist.
