There, in the distant and foreign country, the family has to survive when eating frozen potatoes, tears with soup and songs heating the hearts. The exile choir "Apples" is born there, where the wings grow there, and the hope of returning home never goes away.
"The book" Siberian Haiku ", who inspired the performance, finds a unique form to tell children about the extremely difficult experiences and experiences of exile through their own gaze to these atrocities. In the performance, we aim to maintain the playfulness of the book, which gives these stories lightness, making them more accessible to the young audience. When examining the topic of exile, the performance aims not only to illuminate or tell events, but also to help children understand what is incomprehensible, ”says August Gornatkevičius, director of the first performance for children.
