In the words of the director Jonas Vaitkaus, this work can become spring rain in today's theater - which has turned away from its fundamental values ​​and tends towards destruction and denial. The director invited not only experienced actors to act in the performance, but also students of the acting course of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, which he himself directs. "Atžalynas" interpreted by such an enthusiastic creative team is a great opportunity to rediscover classical Lithuanian dramaturgy. It is touched upon very slightly in this play, but it shows the "stepping" of progress and anti-progress—technical progress and spiritual anti-progress—which is exactly what we are seeing now. These "scissors" show that now exactly those hints of destructiveness have flourished so much that "Atžalynas" can be like spring rain on stage today. It is important that they have clear attitudes, worldliness, the ability to seriously delve into a person - not a complex, broken, distracted, crushed, not understanding himself, living on instincts between money and sensual passions, but a person who has hope, a perspective, who believes that human life is the greatest value. Only then, looking at life - from birth to the last breath - do you begin to realize how late, how late people understand all this: they are afraid to live, feel and be responsible for their lives.
