"Lietuviškoji Nora" is a documentary and theatrical performance, created based on the motifs of H. Ibsen's well-known drama "A Doll's House. Nora" and the life and work of the legendary Lithuanian actress Monika Mironaitė.
Monika Mironaitė is one of the brightest personalities of the Lithuanian theater of the 20th century, an actress whose talent, stage charisma and creative path have become an inseparable part of the history of the Lithuanian theater. The role of Nora in Henrik Ibsen's drama "A Doll's House" went down in theater history as one of the most memorable creative achievements of the actress. The play tells not only about Nora, a woman searching for her identity and freedom, but also about Monika Mironaitė herself, her inner conflicts, choices, love for the theater and the complicated path of an artist's life.
"Lituviškoji Nora" is created as a documentary mosaic, which intertwines M. Mironaitė's letters, memories, fragments of diaries, interviews, texts read at creative evenings, scenes from H. Ibsen's drama "Doll's House. Nora" and her contemporaries - her daughter Dagneja Jakševičiūtė, Laimon Noreika, Juoz Baltušis, Pranas Treinis, Rūta Staliliūnaitė, Audronė Girdzijauskaitė and others. memories.
