In tragicomedy, one of the most talented and active Lithuanian women
in the play "NT Drama" by playwright Gabriele Labanauskaitė
dramatist with light subtle humor, keenly and probingly observes, evaluates and
represents the extent to which personal desires and dreams (to acquire one's own
housing) are governed by the ideal life stereotypes they use
real estate service providers. In the play "NT Drama" it is revealed
real estate infrastructure manipulation of utopias and
stereotypes, the mechanism of the capitalist trap is shown, in which
the weaker, socially and financially insecure people are the most affected
part This social theme of the play has become even more topical in recent years
during the pandemic period, after the real estate price bubble and people increased
to the desperation of trying to protect their finances and recklessness
investing in any real estate, but for young people
facing the capitalist absurdity of trying to get a loan from a bank
and buy your own home. The play "NT Drama" has not yet been staged in Lithuania, but already
won the international prize for playwrights in 2021. Heidelberg
(Germany) at the theater festival "Heidelberger Stückemarkt".
