"WE DIDN'T AGREE LIKE THIS" is an experiential audiovisual performance that unites the deaf community and professional performers from the hearing world. This is where music, video art, creativity of the deaf in sign language and a unique audio experience meet.

The original works created during the project's existence will be presented to the audience for the first time on the stage of the "Art Press": gestures language poetry texts and songs written both in Lithuanian sign language and international gestures, as well as in spoken Lithuanian and English, which will be accompanied by a live band with original music. And the audience will be offered to observe the works on a low-frequency platform that enhances the sonic sensations.

This performance is an offer to look anew at what language is and ask yourself a question. are we really only listening with our ears?

Art director and project initiator Dominykas Vaitiekūnas, 2020 after starting a study of the deaf community and music, and getting acquainted with the tradition of deaf imitative song, he invited the members of the community not only to imitate already created songs of hearing people, but also to dive into the endlessly interesting world of creativity, which unites at first glance two very opposite worlds: sound and silence, deaf and hearing, perfection and truth, yours and the other.
