Helium presents: Glorious bodies | Circumstances (BE)

Glorious Bodies is a corporeal, exciting and hopeful circus and dance performance about the human body capabilities, vision and presence, visible, about the boundaries of the classic and contemporary circus. The Belgian circus and dance troupe "Circumstances" created by the 55-67 -year -old acrobats, each (more) (more) associated with the classic circus. Circus history is immortalized in the body.
Aging in our society, as well as in the circus world, is still taboo. Like top -level athletes, acrobats, when they are at a certain age, stop training intensively. How do the perfect bodies transform then? Is it still possible to live in peace with your own body? Is it possible to complete harmony? Glorious bodies uniquely reveals the aging process. The process that takes place in us. Actually happening now, at this moment.
The origins of the performance lie in partner acrobatics and movement. Glorious bodies destroy stereotypes about the elder generation. An impressive, charming and witty performance shows what the human body really can. Abilities that are obviously not subordinate to time.
