The legendary musical "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" celebrating rock music and human transformation is for the first time in Lithuania. In 1998, John Cameron Mitchell's book, born Hedwig, was born to the Off-Broadway, between gender, political regimes and (not) happy lovers, he has heard from childhood in East Germany that he has to leave somewhere.
After a couple of years, the Stephen Track musical has reached the main scenes of West End and Broadway, and to this day is one of the most famous works of this genre celebrating the LGBTQ community and is valued for both their music and the engaging narrative. At its center, Hedwig, who discovers his place under the sun every night, and experiences the most open journey towards it every night. Filled with humor and a knocking sound, the Hedwig and the Angry Inch musical is a celebration where music touches everyone, ever rejected, misunderstood or unloved, and the story gently invites you to meet your real self.
The charismatic Hedwig will be embodied by the well -known actor and singer Dominykas Vaitiekūnas to the audience, and his main partner, Ytzaku, will become film and theater actress Asta Zacharovaitė. Augustas Gornatkevičius, who directs the musical: "Hedwig is one of the most iconic Queer characters in the world.
