Four seasons, four cellos, four radically different dancers.
The dance and live music performance "Times of the Years" is the first joint work of the Šeikos Dance Theater and the Klaipėda Cello Quartet led by Mindaugas Bačkaus. One of the world's most popular works - Antonio Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" - is performed live by cellists and takes on a new, deconstructed form on stage.
The different seasons and elements are embodied here by each performer who is unique in his field, with a very different expression and plasticity: the aristocratic ballerina Beata Molytė, the theater shaman Benas Šarka, the mime actor Aleksas Mažonas, and one of the strongest modern dance dancers of his generation, Marius Pinigis. Agnija Šeiko managed to masterfully strengthen the cooperation of these personalities on stage, giving them enough freedom of expression. In this way, an unexpected harmony of dance and music of different performers is created on the stage.
