The choice to stage such a performance was guided by a clear feeling that disability is still an invisible category of society, which needs to be understood by bringing both the theater and the audience closer to disability itself, looking at its essence, observing what disabled people themselves think about disability as a phenomenon. The creators of the show aim to expose the concept of normality and raise the question of the possible diversity of human existence, the diversity of sensations and experiences.
Official statistics state that the disabled make up about 9% of the total population in Lithuania, that is, almost every tenth resident, but the majority of non-disabled people during the survey, he boldly claims that there are no disabled persons in Lithuania at all. In Lithuania, the disabled are still separated, without thinking that their subculture could contribute to the cultivation of an alternative, synesthetic or otherwise special existential worldview. For example, people with hearing or visual disabilities have developed excellent tactile abilities, but their worldview is usually isolated by seeing only negative characteristics, so they are often forced to develop the same knowledge of the world as those without disabilities, although they could have a different, otherwise more meaningful one. Finally, the question is how many "abled" people have disabilities, why is it so difficult to accept aspects of our body or personality, and what can we learn from the realization that we are different: diverse, strange, tragic, sometimes funny? The title of the performance "Celebration" contains the reference that the audience is invited to a celebration of existence and diversity, a party of being who you are.

In the performance plays by people with various disabilities - physical, mental, mental, sensory - they were collected and brought together by the disabled theater "Naujasis teataras", and the dramaturgy is created as a documentary from their sharing, stories, discussions held with the creative team.

The performance is financed by the Lithuanian Council of Culture.
