We will tell you the story of Magdutė, a girl of about nine years who lived in a very difficult time for Lithuania, but endured everything and did not break. We will tell you how she learned to be brave and overcome her fears, which, believe me, sprout in every child's heart like mushrooms after the rain. Especially when a happy and bright childhood is trampled under heavy leaden feet by war and post-war turmoil. This story is about a fighter, Pėdsekė, a sister of the forest, who became a helper of the Lithuanian freedom fighters when the occupiers and robbers took her family to distant Siberia. In the mirror of Magdutė's story, the story of post-war Lithuania, partisan fights and sacrifices, endurance of ordinary people, who went through fire and water, dark times of lies and finally brought Lithuania to independence, is also reflected.
The performance was inspired by the excellent and children's favorite book "The Girl with a Shotgun. The Story of a Partisan Girl" by Marius Marcinkevičius and Lina Itagaki. However, the Table Theater would not be the Table Theater if it did not figure out how to present it as evocatively as possible, as interestingly as possible, using new, unexpected object theater tools and also in the open air. You will not have seen such a performance! This time, pots of different sizes, shapes, colors, and ages will play a role and tell a story. Of course, the most important thing here is not their shape, but the content - what is cooking in those pots and what we will be able to feed the viewer. Courage, hope, sensitivity and compassion? Maybe with love, longing, childhood memories? Or maybe with a stubborn determination to fight against evil and injustice in the everyday environment in which we live? Finally, if there are pots, there will be spoons, which are better than guns in a child's hands anyway.
For children of primary school age
The creation of the play is financed by the Lithuanian Council of Culture
