In 1996, the "bomb" by the young, still little-known British playwright Mark Ravenhill called "Shopping and Fucking" exploded in European theaters. With the performance of the same name, the "Oscar Korshunov Theater" was born. Today, the play "Shopping and Fucking" returns to the Lithuanian stage in the interpretation of the youngest generation of creators. Now, when it is increasingly difficult to surprise the audience with the themes discussed in the play, the fundamental question of the play remains relevant: is there a place for real feelings in today's society? - says the director of the new production, Jonas Kuprevičius.
The talented actors of the youngest generation, who create memorable roles in the performance, tell about their generation - addicted and playing, lost and sensitive, traumatized and looking for their place, friendship, human closeness in the hypocritical consumer society of our time.
The performance is presented in cooperation with the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
