The creators of the play say that they do not seek to become connoisseurs of the writer: the theater takes what is most interesting, enriches and inspires them. During this rehearsing, the story of Mykoliuk and Severiutė emerged - the themes of beauty, passion and infinite sadness sound side by side in a masterful short story. The long-matured work of the director Gabrielė Tuminaitė has become a creative and modern reflection of Lithuanian culture, identity, and everyday life of those times.

After the premiere of the play, literary critic, writer, doctor of humanities, associate professor of the Department of Lithuanian Literature of Vilnius University Regimantas Tamošaitis on the portal lrytas .lt wrote: "However, something happened in this performance, a bright impression remains in the consciousness, even a kind of cathartic experience. When I think about these moments of aesthetic experience, I first remember the excellent acting of some of the actors. He begins to live in all reality, the comic stylization of the character does not deny the "dark force" hidden in him, which is both fascinating and frightening. Agnė Šataitė's Severija is extremely lively: a refreshing burst of energy is combined with the naivety of a primitive person, some rough and unstylized beauty is expressed through dynamic stage body language, frantic breakthroughs of the spirit. Initially a static illustrative figure, Severia gradually comes to life, rages and leaves no one indifferent. She fully meets the formula of Vaižgant's vital person and is the star of the performance."

As Juozas Tumas-Vaižgantas himself wrote, uncles and uncles mean not so much a kinship relationship, but a social relationship between the owners who inherited the farm and the "uncles" who stayed here to work and toil, whose position is something mixed between a servant, a hired man and a family member, but more difficult than a hired man, because they work without pay, usually only for "food and scanty clothing." Based on the short story, director Gabrielė Tuminaitė's staging depicts exactly these "uncles" and "uncles": Mykoliukas - actor Karolis Kasperavičius, Severiutė - actress Agnė Šataitė and Rapolas - actor Mindaugas Capas. The characters created by the masterful hand of the writer, although placed in the rough circumstances of a slave village, are able to deeply feel, observe and understand themselves, experience the highest moments of being.
