"I listen to your Majesty!" - It is an interactive performance based and inspired by the 20th century. pr. The tale "King Maciuś Pierwszy), a tale" King of King Motiejukas ", an innovator, doctor and children's defender Janusz Korczak. The hero of the performance is a child named Motiejuk, who unexpectedly becomes a king. He is not only a king, but also an ordinary child who is still alien to the adult world attitudes and values. After becoming a ruler, Motiejuk faces dilemmas and challenges because it is surrounded by an adult world, which is often injustice, questionable decisions, empty ambitions. In order to be a good king, he knits diplomatic relations, solves economic issues of the kingdom, and manages the way the child understands. Unfortunately, neighboring states use his "immature" point of view and declare him the war that he wanted to. Motiejuk faces domestic political intrigue and other misfortunes. The performance is an engaging, open, inviting co -creation, allows the most important viewer, the child - not only to observe, but also to deal with the issues with the main hero, learn citizenship, take responsibility. Identification with King Motiejuk is an experience that encourages you to think, not to "consume" the narrative. The performance does not have a predetermined storyline - it varies depending on how the audience will choose. Both children and parents become the directors of the performance. "They wanted to create an interactive performance where children would feel the power to control the actors and the whole stage. (Oskar Wyganowski)
"I listen to your Majesty!" It is for me to come back to childhood, to the playground, when you could imagine what you want, to create your own world and make your own decisions. For me, theater was always a playground. It is like a computer game where your decision depends on the next game. This is a young person's journey to the adult country. ” (Kamilė Petruškevičiūtė)
"This piece - dense and multi -faceted, the most important thing was to discover a clear axis that is important to the whole creative team. It has become friendship, responsibility and diplomacy - topics that are relevant not only to children but also for adults. For me, dramaturgy here is not only a structure but also a form of trust: confidence as a thoughtful person. Born from a desire to be with children, near, not above them. ” (Edita Rudak)
