The Belarussian playwright Pavel wrote the play "Pancake Meat" 10 years ago and called it "antiic". Then it looked like an anti -utopia as a look at the near future. In the artificial world, three different women do not find what would connect them.
We are now experiencing a 2-year-old pandemia, a war that has been in the 3 years. We live at a time when each of us thinks how to survive and prevent this period to turn into meaningless victims.
Those in power regulate our lives by trying to turn us into potential cannon meat. This period of discrediting of objective humanity continues, but it, like everything in history, must end. Feeling exhausted, used - terrible trauma. The performance talks about what the rehabilitation process could be when this period is over.
We start from scratch. We do not know the exact past of the characters, but we see that each of them suffered a personal trauma or a general disaster. Three women survived but do not feel like they are human. Every moment gives you the opportunity to test life, emotions, feelings, and eventually make personal decisions on the future.
Among the three actors (Gerda Čiuraitė, Signe Dancīte, Yevgenia Gladij), who played in the performance, have a lot in common. At the same time, each of them is of different ages, represents different languages and cultures. We are looking for a common language that becomes a culture to them - as a connecting platform, where mutual respect can be taken to accept differences.
The project is implemented in cooperation in three different institutions: independent producer Katlz Riga, Liepaja Theater and Vilnius Old Theater.
