During the Second World War, Edith Eger was sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp together with her mother, father, sister and other Jewish families. She, a ballet dancer and gymnast, danced for the so-called Angel of Death, Josef Mengele. The belief that everything that happens is temporary, that she will soon see her lover and parents, helped Edita to find strength and endure not only incomprehensible horror, cruelty, humiliation, dehumanization, exhausting work, hunger, diseases, the Road of Death, but also life after: "When we were freed, I was so weak that I couldn't even speak, I couldn't move, I was lying in a pile of corpses. We became free, but we didn't know what to do with our freedom." Both of Edita's parents died in the gas chamber. Her boyfriend was killed a day before her release.
With her unique experience, she invites all sufferers to face their traumas and choose the freedom to escape from them: "You can't change what happened, you can't change what you did or what was done to you. But you can choose to live now." This is the story of all of us. A story of people who have had difficult experiences, people who cannot let go of the ghosts of the past, people who suffer from the prisons of their own thoughts. I continue my journey of duality. I am looking for a transformation of the living and the dead. A movement, a figure and a person... Fragments of a person fly on the stage, shells, memories of a former life, which are only "fragments, short moments or touches, which make up the collage of life." We constantly live among them.
