"Flower Stories" is a puppet show for the whole family, based on the literary fairy tale book "Flower Tales" by the Latvian writer Anna Sakse. The play was written for the theater and the performance was directed by Nijolė Indriūnaitė - a long-time actress and dramatist of "Lėlės", who has created several cozy, spiritual and artistically rich performances for children ("White Fairy Tales", "Snieguolė and Seven Dwarfs", "Snow Queen"). This time, the artist, together with the artist Aušra Bagočiūnaite Paukškienė and the actresses Sigita Mikalauskaite, Elvyra Piškinaite and Almira Grybauskaite, will invite the little viewers and their parents to listen to stories from the life of flowers.
"The flower of every flower - like human life, which we can pass by and not notice its beauty. And we can stop, ask questions and listen. Short stories. Gritty and sad, funny and absurd. Such are the fates of people. In the performance, we aim to talk about different people, their character clashes, values that reveal the most beautiful qualities of each of us, allow us to "bloom"... Sometimes it's really extraordinary to communicate with daffodils, tulips, thistles, wormwood, sage, peas - people of all hair and temperament . But love is the best gardener. Kill what is unnecessary: emotions, ambitions, illusions - all evil. And sometimes you transplant it to another place. Then the garden blooms." - director N. Indriūnaitė tells about the play.
