A true story.
The singer unexpectedly silences and loses its ability to move - she can no longer sing. Inside it, the secret is not pronounced. However, she is not alone - Edita Piaf, determined and unbeatable, invades her room, determined to pull her out of the bed and bring her back to life. Dare to touch and reveal it.
To tell the story of survival through art - in the most physical way. To look at the still -still demons - both outside and inside - as long as a new, indisputable voice is born.
This one actress performance, which involves puppetry, object theater and singing, innovatively and masterfully explores the effects of violence. The performance reveals how survivors wander in the distorted reality of police investigations, media and legal systems, which not only re -traumatized but also forced. power.
Injuries and injustice memories are caught in the awakening of the soul - through music, human connection and, most importantly, through love.
The personal word of the director
When creating this performance, I decided to do what I always do in art and life. To tell this story so that every viewer can recognize a part of himself and understand - he is not alone. I wanted to draw attention to these topics and encourage dialogue.
This is also a true story about how Edita Piaf has saved my life.
"Edita and I" is the third part in a trilogy that I have created for fifteen years and examining violence against women and children. In this last section, I can finally give a key role to the most important phase of the journey-healing.
