Director and artist Rimas Driežis came up with the idea of staging Kazios Binkis's children's poem "Kiškių sukilimas" in the spirit of the ancient English puppet show "Pančas ir Džudė". This is how the performance was born, in which rebel hares march into Kaunas in the interwar period, break into the Kaunas theater and demand from the opera star Kipros Petrauskas to stop hunting hares.
This entire patriotic puzzle from the poems and poems of poet and dramatist, classic of Lithuanian literature Kazios Binkis (1893-1942) is virtuosically performed by one actress - Lijana Mushtašvili - with many glove puppets. It is fun for children to watch hare battles, and for parents to immerse themselves in the nostalgic and ironic atmosphere of the temporary capital.
