"Quantity Obsession" is a contemporary dance performance that explores the theme of excess, ambition and the constant pursuit of "more" in a young person's life. Numbers, status, image and speed become everyday, where it is increasingly difficult to separate the real desire from the imposed expectation.
The creative idea of the play is based on the motifs of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel "The Great Gatsby" - luxury, the dream of success, facade and inner emptiness. These themes are brought into the context of today's youth: social media culture, comparison, pressure to be productive, and the constant need to be "enough."
The show was born from many years of work with young people and their experiences. Through movement, rhythm and bodily expression, an emotional story is created about excess, burnout and trying to stop when everything around requires moving only forward.
The creators have been working with youth dance projects, performances and education for many years, where dance becomes not only a stage form, but also a space for self-knowledge and community building. "Quantity Mania" is a continuation of this creative path, bringing the voice of youth to the professional stage.
This is a play about a dream that shines. And the price we pay for it.
