The performance for the whole family "Vištytė and Rooster" is a contemporary interpretation of a well-known story, turned into a game.
How do I follow the tale? Can it be replaced? Can traditional fairy -tale heroes be assisted by modern things? Can the old as the world question have a new answer? Could the rooster fly into space with a Samurai sword, and Vištytė's eye is protected by sunglasses?
Ramunė Skrebūnaitė, a stage designer and costume designer, fulfilled the dream of the study year - to create a performance where the things that revived the expanded adventure space and become important participants of the events. Here, the girl and the boy fight for their right to believe in a fairy tale he remembers. But playing one by one is uninteresting. Thus, the children start to compromise in the name of the cohabitation. On this path to friendship, there is a creative learning of both forgiveness, selflessness and other things that are not only important to children.
"In the performance, two adults are mischievous and foolish as children are as free as children," says Raklius Viola Klimčiauskaitė, and her colleague Dalius Skamarak adds: "The form of the game is conveyed by life truths to children, so they find their way to their hearts faster."
The fun of Andrius Kulikauskas' music, the simple and sincere lyrics of the songs will include even the smallest spectators, and larger children will eagerly participate in advising the heroes in the face of challenges. "Weird" theater performances for children are always distinguished by the fact that they do not have a "fourth wall" - an invisible barrier does not distinguish the actor and the child watching them, and every word spoken by the little viewer creates a further mood of the performance.
