Pazhaisli monastery in the 17th century. in the second half, it was established by the chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Kristupas Zigmantas Pacas, and craftsmen invited from Italy took part in the construction. An ensemble of the highest artistic level was created, in which architecture, painting and sculpture are perfectly combined. The unique marble decor stands out. Over the course of 360 years, the owners of the monastery changed several times, but the monastery buildings and the church retained their artistic values. Many original details of baroque art have been preserved: frescoes, stucco moldings, carvings and marble decor.

During the tour we will visit a monastery and a church. The guide will tell you about the Kamalduli monks and other owners of the monastery, about its founders and the most famous masters who worked here, will introduce you to the Baroque era in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, will reveal the intricacies and symbols of Baroque architecture, painting and sculpture, will help you get to know and feel Baroque art.

Start of the tour: Pažaislis Kamalduuli monastery (T. Masiulio st. 31, Kaunas). The guide will be waiting for you in the monastery at the ticket office.

Duration of the tour: 2 hours.

Price of the tour ticket: 15 Eur for an adult person;

10 EUR for seniors, schoolchildren, students.

Additionally, you will need to purchase a visitor's ticket for the Pažaislis Monastery Ensemble at the museum box office: 6 EUR for an adult, 3 EUR for a schoolchild, student, senior.
