Mostly Kaunas State Choir, which performs monumental and serious works of academic music, decided to joke and, together with the energetic Kaunas big band, prepared a fun festive program "Christmas jazz", in which both collectives appear at a completely different angle. The program, which is of great interest in listeners, will be played again on the Philharmonic scene, so don't miss the opportunity to hear it.
Jazz rhythms, Gospel's intonations and the perfect festive mood are a concert of a well -known Christmas carols all over the world, colored with new arrangements that combine the powerful sound of the choir with a jazz big band. Such a jazz, swinging alliance of two collectives presents a bunch of compositions that contain the miracle of the birth of Christ. Songs, hymns, light melodies, transparent harmony, joy and hope are keywords of this program. Surrounded by small vocal-intestinal miniatures, British composer Will Toddo's three-part suite, "Rejoice"), rising listeners and sounding like a flash of light, good and blessing.
The project's creators of the Kaunas State Philharmonic and Concert Institution Kauno Santaka ensure that the uplifting mood and inflammatory music in the evening is not really short.
