A new upbeat musical duo "2 METRAI": Daevis and Rafailas Karpis join forces
A new, cheerful duet that will undoubtedly provide a large dose of laughter is presented on the Lithuanian music scene - the singer, tenor Deividas Norvilas-Deivis and the opera soloist, tenor Rafailas Karpis join forces. Next autumn, presenting a new project with the witty name "2 METRAI", the performers will meet with listeners in as many as fourteen Lithuanian cities and ensure that it will be the funniest show of the year.
The "2 METRAI" project is a unique show full of humor and original musical interpretations, where listeners will have the opportunity to hear not only fun arrangements of popular songs, but also original songs created specifically for these shows. This is not only a concert, but also a comedy, performance and improvisation of two stage grands in one.
"We have been friends for many years - we studied together at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, walked in the same corridors, took the same exams. Later we met in various projects, performed on the same stages and TV shows. We both have similar complexities and we get along well, so the idea of a duet began to emerge little by little. Finally, exactly a year ago, we started talking about it publicly - while filming for TV cameras, we promised to present soon project "2 METRAI", the performers tell about the beginning of the new duet.
October 19 in the spirited concert tour that will begin, Davies and Rafail promise to give everything they have and do the best, but most importantly - with a good dose of humor.
"We will try to surprise the listeners with original compositions specially created for the "2 METRAI" program, as well as - to select as many colorful, cheerful already known songs as possible to complement the program. The most important thing for us is that the listeners have a good evening and that the smiles don't disappear from their faces," they say.
