On October 10, 7 pm, the Museum of Energy and Technology is the Festival Music Autumn Second Concert, featuring a chain of changes in the contemporary music ensemble Lensemble.
____________
The "Chain of Change" is a creative principle where every new musical stage is based on and develops the previous one. In this way, the overall sound of the concert becomes like a single line of composition. This principle of remodeling is characterized by the work of Vykintas Baltakas, so the concert begins with his re (a) line saxophone (s) and electronics. The soloist, with the help of electronics, creates one consistent line, which, when he initially records, continues and continues to transform.
The main performers of the concert are Liudas Mockūnas and the young generation of saxophonists, graduates of the LMTA Contemporary Music Program, who combined academic music with free improvisation during their studies. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the principle of the first work, which is launched, is further developed in an improvisational form. The musical material, during new recovery cycles, mutates into a whole new musical expression.
Symbolically, the concert will be summarized by Bronius Kutavičius' opus "there far, until midnight" (1995). The work written for rarely performed - five saxophones and strings - reveals the author's interest in Indian musical culture. As you know, the Indian musical culture is based on a deep improvisational tradition - the structures and harmony of centuries for centuries are the basis for the constant "rewrite" process.
Not only does the Chain of Change express the musical principle, but it also symbolizes the transformation of related ideas in a generation of times.

___________
This year, the Music Duduo merges with the Baltic Music Days (Baltic Music Days) in a different Baltic Music.
The changing meaning of this year's festival invites you to look at intermediality and at the same time explore the various forms of transformation of meaning, observe the process itself and discover how a whole new field of meanings opens up depending on the media.
The topic was not chosen by accident: in 2025 we celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of M. K. Čiurlionis. In his work, music and painting intertwined synetezically, creating one of the most striking examples of how different art languages can extend and transform each other.
