The compost is a physical theater, a contemporary circus and a (Post) instrumental living music that seeks to illustrate the compost process by artistic means. What does ecological balance create, how does it intertwine with our personal relationships? When creating a peculiar logic of the development of the work and choosing rejected, unusable musical instruments, the performance scene acts here as a compost -operating ecosystem, where the performers' roles and responsibilities intertwine in the intermediate stages.
The director of this piece Greta Stimerer has a personal relationship with the sorting industry - her dad is one of the main Riga sorting https://www.getlini.lv/ Factory engineers who have created and nurtured a distinctive industrial eco-system. The confusing theme of ecology will create an artistic engineering narrative, which is full of symbols and recognizable references to the fragility, changes and invisible influence of each other. The unusual composition of the team is that the trio of two pianists and the circus artist will create a symbiosis of different stage genres, experimenting with similarities and differences to create a peculiar stage of stage compost.
Relationships (people, matter, stereotypes) and mutual addiction are questioned by playful playing principles. Understanding the scenography and musical instruments of the work as objects derived from secondary raw materials and special rules of action around themselves, the performers on the stage do not attach to one identity: they are rather in a complex, multifaceted and ever -changing medium.
