St. Frostbite a two -part performance by Quentin Tarantino's "threatening eight"
As the civil war in America has recently broke down, a group of suspicious figures stuck in a remote roadside inn. Among them, the new sheriff Kris Menix, a criminal Deise Domerg, John Rut, a "Korik", and strangers, who are transported to the prize. Fate passengers diligently hide their identity, interrelationships, and true intentions that pose a tension and fatal danger to all those who are stuck in this place. Alexander Špilevoy and rock band Colors of Bubbles' joint work at the Juozas Miltinis Drama Theater inspired the great love of the director and musicians to the work of Quentin Tarantino. According to A. Špilevoy, he learned that one of his favorite films, The Hateful Eight, was hanging on his hair when his script was leaked. It was decided to cancel the filming, but readings in one of Los Angeles' theaters were held to prevent work to go. With extremely positive reviews, the artist decided to return to the film. "When I met this story, I realized that I would very much like to see such a performance in the theater. Because I am not sure if Q. Tarantinas will ever implement this idea, I decided to create a performance myself," says A. Špilevoj.
"In this material, together with the actors, we discover not America and not the 19th century, but ourselves, our time, the problems, the problems, the questions that are relevant to us. Q. Tarantinas has raised the task of creating a tragicomic story that has no positive hero. I do not want to say that all people of the Earth are bad, but we have to admit that we are far from sacred, so in this performance we will see sinful humanity with the brightest ideas of humanism, love, freedom. I wonder what will finally win? ”Says the director.
