Kyiv Classic Ballet is one of the leading Ukrainian classical ballet troupes, founded in 2008. as a touring troupe of Oksana Solovyova (director of the company) and Tatyana Borovyk - former first soloist of the Ukrainian National Opera, People's Artist of Ukraine.
The troupe's artistic director, Tatjana Golyakova, has had a distinguished career at the Ukrainian National Opera for many years; she is also awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine.
Today, Kyiv Classic Ballet is an internationally recognized ballet company known for its lightness, musicality and delicate technique, reflecting the rich traditions of Ukrainian classical ballet.
Impressive costumes and unique scenography, created by one of the most famous Ukrainian theater artists - Mariia Levycka, chief artist of the National Opera of Ukraine - were created especially for the Kyiv Classic Ballet troupe.

From its founding until the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the troupe was based in the capital Kyiv, where it nurtured and developed the best traditions of the Kyiv Ballet School, and its graduates dance successfully in the world's most famous theaters. The war changed the life of every Ukrainian forever. In the first weeks of the invasion, two of the most prominent soloists of the Ukrainian National Opera, Artem Dacysyshyn and Oleksandr Shapoval, who also performed frequently with the Kyiv Classic Ballet troupe, were killed.
When Russian missile attacks on Kiev began, the troupe was forced to move its rehearsals and stage activities to Europe.

Kyiv Classic Ballet collaborates with leading dancers from Ukraine and around the world. The troupe consists mainly of Ukrainian artists, but they are joined by dancers from Japan, the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy and Cuba.
In the coming season, the troupe presents the following internationally acclaimed first soloists:
• Denys Nedak - first soloist of the Atlanta Ballet, Honored Artist of Ukraine, former first soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine, guest soloist at the American Ballet Theater (ABT), Vienna State Opera, Finnish National Opera and Ballet, Norwegian National Opera and Ballet;
• Mie Nagasawa - former first soloist of Kyiv City Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, laureate of international ballet competitions;
• Anna Reznichenko - first soloist of Kyiv Classic Ballet, laureate of international ballet competitions.
Kyiv Classic Ballet tours all over the world, with particular success in Japan, where it has been recognized as the best touring ballet troupe for eight consecutive years and organizes three-month tours every year.
2025-2026 season, Kyiv Classic Ballet will tour Japan and seven European countries, presenting classical ballet fans with the most beautiful and famous productions, including the wonderful Swan Lake, one of the most beloved ballets in the world.
This immortal love story about the eternal struggle between light and darkness is a real gem of ballet art of all time.
