Born in Argentina, Tango, underwent the ocean and wandering around Europe, the 20th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, he also stumbled upon Lithuania. Here he was met ambiguously - he was admired and resented, just like everywhere else.
The Vilnius Tango Theater, which has been fascinated by the spectacular performances of Argentinian tango for a decade, has realized an old dream and invites Lila Trio to a special evening. And it's no coincidence - a tango is a dance of freedom that finds a place in the minds and hearts of free people.
For the first time in the history of theater, Tango speaks in Lithuanian - revealing the beauty, elegance and passion of the legendary interwar creators Daniel Dolski and Antanas Šabaniauskas.
This show confirms the little known but important truth: the tango was danced and sung in Lithuania in the interwar period, just a few decades after its appearance in Argentina.
