Both light and darkness live in Urb Shurbi Shmiki Shmiki Tunnel. Where the light, the color, the shape, the depth, the distance and the movement. When the light extinguishes, it becomes dark. In the dark we do not see colors, we do not understand the true shapes and sizes of things, without touch, we can hardly understand the spatial arrangement or determine the distances. The world revealed in the dark disappears in the dark, without a clear video sounds. Many people in the dark experience discomfort. Or maybe fear? A performance that experiment with light and darkness will invite viewers to the "Dark Playground", which creates associative video and audio paintings that playfully raise questions about fear and courage. The performance "Tunnel" focuses on exploring the possibilities of selected matter in the light of its physical, chemical, applied properties and symbolic meanings. In the performance, puppeteers revive different forms of darkness and light, test their movement opportunities until they reach a point where darkness and light become not only sensual perception, but also in the form of resolution. Little viewers seem to fall into an associative playground where you can make your imagination and excite creativity, while adults can become an opportunity to reflect on this everywhere surrounding, intangible substance, which seems to be practically impossible to cover one go.
Miha Golob - theater director, puppeteer. He received several awards for creativity in the Puppet Theater in the native Slovenia and other countries. Usually, in his performances, he resists the exploration and experimentation of the selected matter with it and invites the viewer to be actively and creatively involved in the process. 2017 created a performance "Aquarium", which was shown to Klaipeda audiences in 2019. In the Materia Magica International Theater Festival. In the performance "Sand Box", created at the Ljubljana Puppet Theater, he continued the research of materiality, and this trilogy is completed by a performance "Tunnel", which is part of the European Mapping project, and is created in cooperation with two puppet theaters in Ljubliana and Klaipėda.
