The Lovecraft Sextet - The Cult Dark Jazz band will perform in Vilnius and Kaunas
The legendary Dark Jazz band The Lovecraft Sextet comes to Lithuania this year, where in two cities - Vilnius, St. Catherine Church (April 30) and Kaunas, Lemmy club (May 1). These concerts will become an exceptional opportunity for listeners to immerse themselves in dark and atmospheric music, which blends Jazz, Ambient and Gothic elements.
The Lovecraft Sextet is one of many projects by multi -instrumentalist Jason Köhnen. He became known for his previous projects Bong-Rra, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble and The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation.

Köhnen created the term "Darkjazz" in 1999, when he created the piece called Darkjazz its 2001 Darkbreaks EP. From this point on, he started a long musical journey by exploring the dark experimental Jazz sound palettes, combining them with various other genres.
The Lovecraft Sextet emerged after his other Darkjazz projects, first TKDE and TMFDJC, and later the short -term project The Thing with Five Eyes, where Köhnen was experimenting with Arab scales and instruments for the first time. Köhnen's attitude towards The Lovecraft Sextet's work is to open the full spectrum of Darkjazz with all its mysterious aspects.
He sees each album as a scenario and soundtrack for a different movie that determines a different pace and atmosphere, playing with unusual combinations of climax and atmospheres. The project invites many talented guest musicians who play key roles in these "non -existent" films, all of which play a crucial role in the soundtracks of these "non -existent" films.
The Lovecraft Sextet publishes albums through the Denovali Records and Debemur Morti Production publishing houses, where this aspect of Dr. Jeryll and Hyde reaches its best and creative expression.
In addition to conceptual audio recordings, The Lovecraft Sextet also explores multidisciplinary art forms. The release of In Memoriam became the first project of short stories and audiobooks connected to the album. In the future, more art disciplines will be published in the future.
