Educational performance for children becomes an integral part of our daily routine and thinking, and in KJT's performance "OPA! (Operation: Processed Self!)" Ecological ideas also enter the stage of theater for children.
For children, the action of an educational performance turns around five no longer needed garbage - battery, bag, magazine, jar and lemon. Although they are all thrown away, what's in the trash, what's by the river, what's in the woods, the garbage feels that their lives still have a sequel. The naive, but determined garbage in the performance "OPA! (Operation: Processed Self!)" Says their fate - it is not known whether they will find what everyone is looking for, what trials everyone will have to experience and what awaits at the end of their road.
Not only do Klaipeda Youth Theater actors seek to introduce the audience to playful characters, they also explore ecology and sorting topics in the performance. Is everything we are careful about throwing away any value anymore? Do we throw away where we need it? Do we know the impact of simple debris to the environment and ourselves?
The creators of the performance, along with the audience, will try to find answers to these and other questions. The playful feature and musical form of the performance is a way to do it, and the spirited garbage characters are our fellow people in this operation.
